Large Charred Bottle Sculpture

This 'found wood' bottle shape sculpture has a heavily burnt finish using a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation called yakisugi.

Washed and brushed with a natural mineral oil.

It's an interesting piece with a crocodile-like texture and rippling grain. 

This is a solid piece for decorative purposes.

Found wood, tree species unknown.
